Guarantees

In normal circumstances we offer long term guarantees for the majority of works carried out by our company, including damp proofing and timber treatment works, the terms and length of guarantees are usually specified in our report subsequent to an inspection. In most circumstances an injected damp proof course system would enjoy the benefit of our standard 20 year guarantees against future rising damp. Timber treatments again are usually covered by a 20 year guarantee, both appertaining to the eradication of wood boring insects and infection by wood rotting fungi such as Dry Rot or Wet Rot. Guarantees are usually released subsequent to confirmation of compliance with our recommendations and specifications in all aspects. (Our standard specifications relating to damp proofing, timber treatments and fungal decay eradication etc. may be obtained from our office free of charge.)

As we are members of the BWPDA, we are able to offer underwritten insurance backed guarantees, from either the Guarantee Protection Insurance Company, a subsidiary of the BWPDA, or alternatively we can offer the Triton Users Guarantee Scheme, a subsidiary of Triton Chemical Manufacturing Company Limited, our general suppliers. One or both of these guarantees can be offered for a small additional premium depending on the cost of works carried out by our company. Structural Waterproofing Group

The Structural Waterproofing Group is a division within the Property Care Association, and was formed to establish the benchmark for competence of surveying, specifying and installing structural waterproofing, improving the standards in this most important area. The Structural Waterproofing Group was established by the BWPDA in January 2005. We can confirm Bensleys are one of the few members of the Structural Waterproofing Group indeed to our knowledge to date we are one of the only seven Sussex based contractors.

We are also members of the Property Care Association which is a division of the BWPDA, which represents the contractors supply of surveyors and consultants specialising in damp problems and insect/fungal decay infestation or infection in buildings.
We hope to briefly explain on our web site the different problems that can affect your property with regards to damp proofing, structural water proofing, infestation by wood boring insects, and/or decay by wood rotting fungi species Wet Rot (Coniophora putteana) or more serious Dry Rot (Serpula lacrymans).

The TrustMark

The TrustMark is a new scheme supported by the government, consuming groups in the building industry to help the private property owner find reputable companies to do repairs, maintenance and improvement works. The TrustMark is based around a set of government endorsed standards for trade associations, certification bodies and other organisations that wish to became approved scheme operators. The BWPDA was one of the first scheme operators to receive a licence. As Bensleys are a BWPDA registered firm, we qualify for all TrustMark stipulations legislation and therefore are Trustmark registered firms.
